July Heater Outreach (from diary)

The colder weather has set in, here in New Zealand. Last Saturday we drove about 15 minutes away, to a suburb of Auckland called Manurewa, a location where we would like to plant our church.
We spoke to a few people about the love of Jesus (at McDonalds, lol) and then went to a housing area. The security door was wide open and there were 6 apartments, and we knocked on a door but no one answered.
We asked the Lord how to proceed and felt led to leave the heaters (worth about 135$ NZD) along with our outreach card, one at each door. Then we knocked on each, but no one answered, not knowing who we were. We prayed for the people there and asked God to open doors for more ministry.
We felt satisfied that we had done His will, and went home. Later that day, I received a phone call from someone saying that a heater had been misdelivered to them (and it had my phone number on the shipping label apparently). I told her that it was a random act of kindness to show the love of Jesus. She was extremely happy, said she was a Christian and that it was her father in law's apartment and he was sick and really cold and needed a heater!
I had the opportunity to pray with her and there is certainly the opportunity for more ministry, and he was so happy when he found out that it was a gift!!
Praise God!
We are going out again today. The outreach and really any ministry activity is very difficult here, so we were very pleased that there was such quick feedback and something so beautiful happened!
